Know before you buy
Condition affects price more than size does. The three grades we carry are described below.
Budget
An older container that still seals properly: no leaks, solid floor, working doors. Surface rust and dents are expected at this grade. Suitable where appearance is not a factor.
From $915 · 20ft
Best value
Certified structurally sound for ocean transport, wind and watertight, and backed by a 5-year structural warranty. This is the grade most Houston buyers select.
From $1,095 · 20ft
Premium
A single ocean crossing, near-new condition on arrival, and a 20-year structural warranty. Appropriate for offices, conversions and any customer-facing installation.
From $2,250 · 20ft

Built for the Gulf Coast
Steel construction and gasketed doors withstand wind-driven rain far better than a wood-frame shed. Many Gulf Coast property owners keep a container on site year round for this reason.
Contractors across Houston use 20ft and 40ft containers for on-site tool storage, reducing theft and eliminating daily transport of equipment. Renting works well for shorter projects.
The 40ft high-cube is the standard choice for a converted home office or studio. The additional foot of interior height accommodates framing, insulation and a finished ceiling.
We also stock refrigerated reefer containers and open-top units for equipment that loads by crane.

Often within 24 hours, Monday through Friday. We own our inventory and stock it locally near the Port of Houston, so most orders placed in the morning can be delivered the next business day anywhere in our 150-mile delivery radius.
They're the same thing. “Conex” is the older military term (from CONtainer EXpress) that stuck around the Gulf Coast. Shipping container, cargo container and sea can all describe the same ISO-standard unit. Full explanation in our conex vs. shipping container guide.
Our used containers currently start at $915 for a 20ft wind-and-watertight unit, cargo-worthy units run $1,095 to $1,555, and new one-trip containers run $2,250 to $3,480 depending on size. Delivery is quoted by ZIP code, and you inspect the container when our driver arrives, then pay before they leave.
It depends where you are. The City of Houston, each surrounding municipality and unincorporated Harris County all set their own rules for accessory structures, and in most Houston-area subdivisions the HOA deed restrictions matter more. See our Houston permits and HOA guide for the full checklist.
No. You look the container over when it arrives and pay then. Never pay a deposit to any container seller sight-unseen. It's the most common container scam in Texas, and it's why we handle payment this way.
A reasonably level spot, overhead clearance free of low wires and branches, and enough straight-line room for the truck: roughly 60ft for a 20ft container and 100ft for a 40ft. Set it on blocking such as railroad ties or concrete blocks rather than bare dirt. Full detail in our delivery and site prep guide.
