Ironwood Commodities is a Houston-based container supplier with more than ten years in the industry. We own our inventory, store it in yards at La Porte and Galena Park near Port Houston, and take payment only after the container is placed on your site.
Most container fraud in Texas depends on collecting a deposit. A fraudulent listing takes a wire transfer for a container that does not exist, and the buyer has no recourse. Payment at delivery removes that risk: you inspect the container when our driver arrives, then pay before they leave. If it is not as described, you do not buy it.
This model costs us more, since we carry the inventory and the delivery expense up front. It is also the clearest evidence we can offer that the container exists and is already in our yard. For additional guidance, see our guide to avoiding container scams.
New one-trip and used cargo-worthy containers in 20ft, 40ft and 40ft high-cube, plus wind-and-watertight budget units, refrigerated reefers and open-top containers. Used cargo-worthy units carry a 5-year structural warranty; new one-trip units carry 20 years.
